Prohibition Taproom is a fine urban neighborhood bar at an unassuming street corner. Enter this relatively small place and there is a jukebox on the right, tables on the left, and the bar in front. The wooden bar has 22 chairs in an unusual orthogonal-serpentine design. Across from the bar there is a row of 11 two-chair tables. They have 9 beers on tap, which are carefully selected to showcase the latest trends of the national craft brewing scene. They also have about 65 varieties of bottled beer, a good mix of national craft beers and proven imports, and there are no cheap national pilsners on their list! I appreciated the nice glassware in which the beer was served. The place was sparse when I visited on a Saturday afternoon, but gets crowded on weekend nights.

LOVED this place! Stopped here for lunch, the bartender was great! Very friendly, helpful, and personable. Great selection, and loved the food too. I had a pulled pork sandwich, and a rauchbier. Amazing combination. I have never had a smoked beer before, and absolutely loved it! I was worried it might be a little old, (who orders a smoked beer), but it was great! Would definitely recommend this place and I go back in a heart beat. It's a little out of the way, but definitely a cool neighborhood bar!
