Most of the beers brewed here at the Boylan Bridge are more malt based. Amber, Porter, Stout and other lightly hopped ales. All represent their styles well, although I thought the Stout had a strange astringent taste.
The Summer Seasonal Ale was superb. Very light and fruity. Easily the best I had of their flight.
The location is great for gazing at the Raleigh skyline on a nice evening. When we went, there was no one inside, but at least a hundred out on the patio.

Boylan Bridge Brewpub has some very nice bold-bodied beers that is bound to make a true beer drinker happy. The beers that Boylan Bride Brewpub brews, tends to be a bit darker and bolder than most beers of the area that I have drank. They have a good selection from American ales to a darker stout (I found the stout to be a bold flavor, but didnt have such a chocolaty and coffee aftertaste that a lot of stouts have).
The brewmaster creates seasonal beers which, if all of them are as good as the summer seasonals, will keep me going back to try the different flavors that the brewery can create.
There is a nice outdoor seating area, a good selection of wine (considering it is a brewery), and the atmosphere appears to be children friendly.
