Stay tuned…we’re cranking on the details.

It’s Black Friday! Time to waste up at 5:30 A.M., grab some early bird specials at Walls-Mart, fight for a parking spot at the Northeast South Gate Triangle Tree Mall before sunrise, pick over empty shelves of silk flowers at Michael’s, browse for scented candles….

ACK!

We’d rather drink beer. Come join us the day after Thanksgiving in Durham for a chill-out, low-key, celebration of dark beers. Yep, “Black Friday” beers. This is bound to be a tradition…if you show up.

Finalized details in a day or two. This here is what they call a Teaser.

And no, that’s doesn’t mean it’s going to BE at Teaser’s. You wish!

Details promised to come soon on Pop The Cap's site: http://popthecap.org

I think this is a really cool idea, and though I'm miles away, I'm planning on my own private Black Friday Beer Fest. This should be nationwide.

According to the calendar, his birthday is three days earlier...
(ahem) someone else's birthday is actually on Black Friday Cheesy

Won't be able to join you in Durham, but we'll join in spirit...
My wife and I will probably crack open the present we bought each other, a bottle of 2007 Utopias cheers!

Ah, unclejedi....so you've had a few birthdays on Thanksgiving day, eh? At least 5 or 6, by my count!   Cheesy

This is as close as my birthday gets to Thanksgiving. Any good stories about having a b-day on t-day?

Well the first was probably the most important, I was actually born on T-day...
(yeah I've heard all the jokes about my mother bringing home a little turkey Ohhh )

It is a lot of fun to think that people are periodically having a feast in honor of my birthday.
This year, everyone is losing their minds at an ungodly morning hour in honor of my birthday cheers!
