I thought I was the only geek that looked at the TTB website ...
The brewer at Flat Earth here is St. Paul gives me a hard time about that ...

Good for y'all! I wondered if Larry might do something like that. I guess that confirms what I heard about why they elected not to come in to GA. Oh well, y'all deserve it.

I wonder if these are new beers or relabeled old ones?

Does this suggest IL distribution?

It appears like it. They're creating a new brand that I'm guessing would defeat the rules that bind their current brands to the IL distributor that they have had a dispute with. So if this works it looks like they will be able to pick a new distributor and start a new contract for the state.
That is pretty much the story I have heard. I used to check the TTB website and have had brewers yell at me for busting them out on an upcoming beer that they did not announce yet.

Wow, that would be a sweet loophole if it works! I can't imagine the big distros won't go down without a fight, though. Best of luck to Larry.

I don't think current IL law will allow for line extensions to be awarded to different wholesalers. I am not certain on this, but do believe a law was recently passed in this manner. Example: In some states Heineken USA has awarded the rights to distribute Heineken Premium Light to different wholesalers than those that distribute brand Heineken. This would not be allowed in Illinois. Again, I may not have this completely correct. As has been said previous - this is a lawyers dream and a brewers nightmare.

Yeah. Hopefully Larry knows what he's doing. I thought the main reason for the pull-out was Bells didn't have the resources to put up a big legal fight, and that kinda seems to be what he's asking for with this re-branding loophole.
