First post as I'm a brand new member. Can anyone recommend a gluten-free beer? It has become apparent that I have some allegies that are gluten related which is BAD news in that pasta, pizza & beer are my diet staples. Are there relatively easy to find gluten beers available?

Dogfish Tweason'Ale is pretty good for a gluten-free beer. Lakefront New Grist is alright too.

Widmer is planning to test market a line of gluten-free beer in Oregon soon, likely for later wider distribution...

My wife is gluten intolerant but a beer lover.  Based on her experience, I would pass on Lake Front’s New Gist.  Red Bridge from AB is tolerable.  She likes the offerings from new Planet in Ft Collins, CO .  They have a decent Pale Ale, Golden Ale & a raspberry ale.    They have wide distribution (IL, ID, CO, WI, etc.).

Another option is Greens.  They have several Belgium inspired styles, but are a bit sweet to me.   Also, Two Brothers Prairie Path Golden Ale is very good.  While not advertised as Gluten Free, the brewer confirmed that it is.

It seems like as more people become aware of gluten intolerance, the amount of products that are being offered is exploding.

Thanks to you both. My hope is to find a couple of glutin-free options to keep in the frig. I'm afraid I'll be in trouble with normal bar and pub options but I guess I have to do this gradually.

This doesn't help if you live far from Denver, but Strange Brewery's Gluten Free won the GABF Gold metal.  It's a lemon Gluten free.

I did not realize that Dogfish Head's Tweason Ale was gluten free. We do not currently carry it but i will order some and hopefully have it in stock within a week or so. I agree that the gluten-free market is exploding, but not really when it comes to beer. We carry a couple hundred different beers at any time, and I do not think any of them are marketed as "Gluten Free".

Pateros Creek has two GF beers on tap now in Fort Collins. Greyrock is a lighter Cream Ale and Duncan's Ridge is a dark ale with chocolate and coffee.
