We just added this place to the database:

I guess I'm naive, but I don't think I would ever expect to find a beer selection like this at a Vietnamese restaurant. I would love to have this place nearby.

What sort of restaurants have you found where you were impressed by the beer selection?

One that surpised me was Brasserie Jo on Hubard in Chicago.  Good food and a really good beer list!

A definite "local" Italian restaurant right down the road from us  ( http://www.danielson55.net/daniels/default.htm ). They don't have many taps but they always have at least one local on sometimes two, and usually a couple of other craft choices available in bottles. Food is exceptional also

Around Chicago I guess i'd say Uncommon Ground on Clark, we started going there for brunch, and discovered a great beer selection after repeat visits. Also Burt's Place in Morton Grove has GLBC and FFF beers...

Mekong is a great place for food, but the beer list is pretty much all bottles and all Belgians and can be a skinch pricey IIRC, of course the site seems to carry a more extensive list nowadays.

It's much easier for me to think of the restaurants where I've been disappointed when they didn't even carry Sam Adams than the ones where the beer selection caught me by surprise  Empty!

This guy is pretty active on Facebook in the craft beer realm.  I love pairing of craft beer with Asian food.

I wish more sushi places would carry the Hitachino beers.  I've found champagne to pair well with sushi, so I'd also love to have try gueze with it.

Yeah, he's been my "friend" on facebook for a year or more now. I don't know him personally, he probably just friended me because I am friends with other beer people or something. I didn't know or pay attention to what he was promoting until I saw a mention about a beer dinner at his restaurant on Daniel Bradford's blog.
