Elaina and I are in.  It looks like we will be pouring during both sessions.  Should be fun.  Can't wait to see you all.

Charlie at Lunar mentioned a bourbon aged "batch 552" IPA to defend their title...

The 552 was one of my favorites from last year. They still had it on tap at Lunar after the event, as I recall. Great stuff!

( Actually last years version was Batch 500, as I recall )

I had a growler that was named B.A.M... barrel aged moondance IPA. I think that was the same thing? Anyway, this is a new/fresh barrel for 552, and also dry hopped in the barrel I think. Double wow!

FYI, the afternoon session is now sold out.  I don't know how many tickets are left for the evening session at the moment but would guess you'd have a little time to decide.

There were barrel-aged beers aplenty at the Goose Beer Academy last night. GI BCS, Extremely Naughty Goose, Smoked Bock, Flossmoor's Pullman's Reserve and Anno Unum, Cantillon Gueze, Old Ras XII, among others. If I wasn't in the mood for FOBAB before, yesterday's preview reminded me why it's a can't-miss event. It also reminded me that I've missed the past two FOBABs.  angry

Also, GI's Blonde Rascal is great. It's like a potpourri Belgian golden ale, but in a good way.

If I have an extra ticket that I can't get rid of (won't know until the day of if my friend will be able to make it or not), can I get another set of 12 drink tickets?  Then I can have a few extras and give out to others looking for more as well.

How did you manage that. I would have worked for beer cheers!

I would think the tribune mention will help this sell out fast.

By the way, Beer Mapping is sponsoring again this year. So don't be surprised if you see me wearing a Beer Mapping shirt AGAIN...
