April 25th 2008

By the way, since you guys are probably already coming to this, you can also go do Dark Lord Day (which is supposed to be occurring the following day).

I copied this from some other dinky website:
Quote
This is an impromptu BA gathering at Flossmoor Station. Matt has some special beers lined up for attendees and would appreciate getting a rough idea of how many to expect

Thanks for posting J.  We'll be pulling out some great stuff that night.  Pray for nice weather as we are going to fill the back banquet room and hopefully use the outside beer deck for overflow. So far between the three main sites, I've seen close to 50 signed up. If friends and spouses join-look out!

I heard mention of a keg of Founders Imperial Stout on the guest tap? Kind of a nice way to get into the stouty spirit of things.
I also mentioned this on one of the other sites, but I'll say it here too. If you sign up here, don't sign up on BA or RateBeer so the headcount doesn't get inflated.

If an accurate head count is desirable, people should only sign up in one place, IE either here or one of those two other dinky sites.  I wouldn't want to have to correlate lists from all three, especially since a lot of people use different id's on different sites.

I'm still flip-flopping on going to DLD. I will say that the Flossmoor Station event will most likely be the deciding factor.

Many people think that acme(BA) and I are one and the same.  I'll try to make sure that acme doesn't sign up for this event on that dinky site.

Same here. I don't want to miss going to Flossmoor and going to 3F on Friday/Sunday.
Saturday scares me though.

Yeah I wasn't excited about DLD last year but I ended up having a good time.  It's the uber excited noobs like the guys who slept in their car in the parking lot last year that are making this event harder and harder for me to become interested in.

A lot of us out of towners also have lunch at Flossmoor Sunday before hitting the road.
Might be fun to rally people to make a farewell event out of that as well.

Sounds like a good idea. I was planning on hitting up both Flossmoor and 3F on Sunday before heading out. I only expect to make it as far as Indy or maybe Cincinnati on the way back Sunday.
