One of my favorite American-style stouts-Mean Old Tom comes from this company.  I do not see it listing on the map.

Rosemont Hofbrauhaus opens Jan. 2013. Heard they will be brewing on-site... also heard there's a new beer bar next door, Park Tavern.

New addition to the Elmhurst scene, Hamburger Jones just opened.   Half of the restaurant occupies a greenhouse like structure, so it’s pretty neat.

Unfortunately they don’t list their craft beers on-line (yet) but they have a solid bottle list and some interesting rotating craft drafts including Revolution Cross of Gold (and the Revolution Christmas beer in bombers).  Prices are good; most beers under $5 and bombers are under $10.  I had Summits’ Saga IPA for only $14 a pitcher and it was also $3.50 per pint.

Food was impressive, but my guess is they will slim down the menu over time.  One of the best patty melts I have had in ages.

You want to use a food grade CO2 cartridge because the non food grade ones have oil residue in the cartridge that will exit with the CO2

According to Beer Menus, the Lunar now has their Christmas in the Caribbean on tap.  :monocle:

I’m sure the 1 oz pour size is an error.

I’m planning on going this Thursday.

Having gone there tonight based on your message (alas, I have a permanent Thursday conflict...), I can assure you the serving size is a pint glass. Minus foam. And many folks were enjoying it, even with the abv ever creeping up -- they say it's a 7.2% glass of holiday cheer these days. I can't vouch for it (yet) -- I had the Neil Armstrong tripel and the Darkside dubbel, and wanted to be able to drive home, so...  :monoclebeer:
Thanks for the heads up, i've been meaning to get out there these lat couple weeks but haven't yet :empty:

Thought a few North Central beermappers might enjoy this:

Attention Chicagoites, Goose Island is now avaiable in Hawaii on draft. REAL a gastropub will celebrate with pouring the initial four beers available tomorrow night for a Tuesday Tap Attack. Hopefully the brand does well here in Hawaii and they decide to send us more of the rare stuff.

Honkers Ale
Mild Winter
312 Wheat
IPA

Stop by and try some of Chicago's finest craft beers!
