Join Greenport Harbor Brewing Company to celebrate their fourth anniversary with live music, food and of course beer! All are invited to attend as the owners, staff and special guests celebrate four years in beer and the future expansion plans for the brewery. The event will begin with a special keg tapping ceremony which will feature their special limited-edition anniversary brew, #4. This anniversary beer is a straw colored ale with golden highlights containing German Spalt Select and Czech Saaz hops that are blended to create a lightly bittered ale with inviting aromas reminiscent of fresh cut grass and summer fruit.
Start 3PM End 7PM

Pretty nice presentation of craft brewery growth in the US by the New Yorker

MAPPING THE RISE OF CRAFT BEER

One comment caught my attention: "... craft beer now represents thirty per cent of Costco’s beer sales."  I have mixed feeling about that but have to admit it's convenient for Costco shoppers like me. I'm still resisting adding Costco "Beer Stores" to the project.  It just doesn't seem right. :?:

Great crawl everyone! :toast:
Glad we got in some patio time at Resi's before the downpour.
After Glunz we made it to Half Acre, then Asadero for tacos, and various dive bars on the way home.

I just got home.  Post Glunz went to Bad Apple, but then ended up at the Wild Goose.  Great to see everyone and great to see the Hawks inw.  Beer of the day for me was the Zwickle at Glunz and the Summer HB at Lachetes.  Great times!!

Btw, counted 19 1/2 at Glunz's.... thanks Marshall for pushing us over!

This map should help plan your trip. :toast:

A few brewpubs & breweries with good reputations along the way: Titletown (Green Bay), Central Waters (Amherst), O'so (Plover), Red Eye (Wausau), Lazy Monk (Eau Claire), Valkyrie (formerly Viking, Dallas, weekend taproom hours), Angry Minnow (Hayward), Fitgers (Duluth).

Dave's Brewfarm in Wilson would be worth a detour for, but be sure to check what their current hours are, as they change every week/month.
