Find Craft Beer with your iPhone
Beer Mapping member SiB57 has created an iPhone application that will help you Find Craft Beer.
Check out the official site for the Find Craft Beer application at findcraftbeer.com
This application uses the Beer Mapping API to find Breweries, Brewpubs, Beer Bars, Stores or Homebrew Shops near your current location. The app displays review scores from Beer Mapping and includes links to the mobile version of our site, in case you wish to read more reviews for a specific location. Click the image below to see more screenshots of the application in action.
The Find Craft Beer application will also enable you to use a city or zip code as the starting point for a search, using options to narrow down results by location type.
This application is available in the App Store now. Go get it and let us know what you think!

wow… now you can really say… there’s an app for that.
SiB57> Any chance we’ll see this for the Palm Pre?
I have a few more iPhone apps I want to do as well as some future updates to this app. Once all of that’s done, I’ll take a look at the app landscape and see if it makes sense to do a pre/android/windows mobile/blackberry port, and if it’s even possible to do them.
Here is a vote for a blackberry application!
Here’s a vote for an android app – it’d also be great to have an app that allows for tracking any beer drank with ability to rate for taste, smoothness, hoppiness, overall number rating, etc. Anyone know of an app for that? (android?) Thanks
You should add the ability to rate locations on the fly. Yelp! style.
When will the app be available in the Canadian iTunes store?
I’m hopeful that the next release will be worldwide and not just US. Also, if all goes well, it’ll be available on the iPod Touch as well as iPhone.
This app kicks ass. Well done
This is another vote for the Android app! I love BM and it would be great to have on the phone. Thanks!
But BJs in Cupertino is *not* craft beer…
Excellent app for iPhone. Have used it in several cities and have been very impressed. Question: how does one “add” to the mapping project? Is that possible from the app, or does one have to go to the website itself? Seems like if this is truly about the power of groups, we need some way to add a missing location.
Currently you have to come here (beermapping.com) to add new locations. I’ll speak with the admins here and see if there is something we can do in a future version.
Thanks for checking it out!
Great app. I use it all the time now. Cheers!
Thanks! If you haven’t yet, and wouldn’t mind, please take a second to rate us in the App Store. The ratings in the store really matter for our position in searches and to help more people find the application.
Thanks again!

Aw, this was a really nice post. In concept I would like to put in writing like this moreover – taking time and actual effort to make an excellent article… but what can I say… I procrastinate alot and certainly not seem to get one thing done.
[...] apps out there that work on crowdsourced data. I’ve got Ratebeer Places, Beer Cloud and Beer Map on my iPod. One particularly cool feature of these apps is the ability to perform a proximity [...]
