Get Fed

If you happen to be practicing a religion that bans the use of RSS feeds for receiving syndicated content from internet websites, then you might not be interested in this post. For the rest of you, if you’re not aware of what RSS feeds are or what they can provide to your internetting experience, you should pay attention.

The Beer Mapping Project now has more than five different RSS feeds that are available for you to subscribe to. We have funneled many of these feeds directly into our new “Quick Information” page that is linked from the left sidebar. Or alternatively you can click the example image below to see what sort of information is available there. The “Quick Information” page makes a good addition to your browser bookmarks/favorites by the way, since it also includes the most recent blog post at the top.

Note all the orange icons in the image above. Those icons represent clickable links that take you to the RSS feed available for the block the icon is associated with. If you’re surfing with a recently updated browser, you should have the option to subscribe to those feeds by clicking the orange icon.

If you are still confused about what you can do with RSS feeds, or you are simply interested in reading more about the RSS feeds available at The Beer Mapping Project, I have written up a bit more about them in the Forums FAQ Thread. Keep an eye out for the little orange icons scattered all over the site. They are quick links to the RSS feeds available here.

We have also added various tweaks to the reviewing system, including downloadable excel files of your own reviews and you can subscribe to the RSS feeds of other Beer Mapping Project user’s reviews. RSS feeds make it easier for you to keep an eye on updated content.

We’re hoping to give you every advantage to enjoy your experience here and hopefully in the process, you can find a new place to enjoy a craft beer!
