Beer on Your Phone
I’ve quickly coded up a beer locations lookup page designed to function with tiny screens.
Ok, it’s not so much designed to function with tiny screens, as it simply has no design; therefore smaller screens can display it fairly well. Also this page happens to be the only lookup that I have scanning through all of the locations in the database (the main search here is just brewpubs and breweries).
The mobile page is generally just a quick lookup page that does not have any direct connection with the maps themselves. The page tries to provide links to both the location’s official site and three reliable outside sources of beer-information.
Feel free to check out the page at beermapping.com/m. And bookmark it on your mobile device.

It’s a good start. Google has come out with new mobile map applications recently that would be a great way to visualize this data on the phone. http://www.google.com/gmm/index.html
I use a Treo and the combination of beermapping data and Google mobile maps while travelling would be terrific.
I have been using google’s mobile maps for a while now. But I really don’t know how I could possibly connect the two at the moment. Google would probably have to write another api that was solely geared toward the mobile application.
If they do, then I’ll jump on it. But I don’t think I have the technical know-how (or the time!) to get it up and running by myself.
OK It is great! How do I enable it on my Blackberry?
