Reverse Promotions Day!

I’ve declared today to be Reverse Promotions Day. So, today, I’m going to round up those sites that have supported beermapping by writing about us and linking others to us. Obviously, I can’t thank everyone, but I’ll try to list those that have shown up the most in my referrals.

bobandmark.com sent a ton of hits our way this month. They appear to be a morning radio show out of Anchorage Alaska. After flipping around their site, it appears that Bob and Mark are aimed at males who are lacking shame.

beerme.com a great resource for brewery/beer information worldwide, wrote up a little blurb about beermapping.com in their new blog. It appears that they are fed up with using mapquest for their brewery locational lookups and they have switched to using beermapping instead! We’ve been getting lots of visitors from beerme and we very much appreciate the support!

I’m still in awe at the number of visitors we’re receiving from npr.org. The mention that beermapping got back in early January still brings in more than 100 visitors a week. Thanks radio!

The Brewers Association is pointing their upcoming Craft Brewers Conference attendee’s to beermapping’s Seattle map. Their map page is here The Conference is April 11-14th and I’m sure there will be a few pints raised at that event.

Realbeer.com dropped beermapping.com links into their monthly newsletter last month. Unfortunately I wasn’t a subscriber at the time and I didn’t see it coming, but after that newsletter went out, the site got a large influx in traffic. Much appreciated Realbeer.com! Lew Bryson and Jack Curtin are two great beer writers who have online sites filled with their beer knowledge. Both sites link to beermapping.com and we couldn’t be prouder for such acnowledgment.

The Chicago Beer Society has our Chicago map listed in their links page. With the recent outcropping of beer related maps in Chicago, it’s nice that CBS has kept us listed as the map they trust. Now, if only they could make the CBS Brewpub Shootout a monthly event…

beermapping.com somehow got listed on the Beer Institute’s links page. We don’t know how, but we’re not complaining for the exposure. Thanks beerinstitute.org!

These are just a few of the sites that have sent traffic our way. There are many more sites that have linked to us and are interested in spreading the word about beermapping.com. We appreciate any and all support. From the sites sending large numbers of visitors to the guy who might be writing our url on a napkin and leaving it on the bar, every mention and comment keeps the guy behind beermapping just a little more motivated to continue!
