Bookmark a Beer Map?
I’ve updated all the US Brewery/Brewpub Maps to allow for dynamic urls. I know you are probably thinking, “Oh no, he’s going off on another nerd rant!” But this time it’s actually useful!
Basically, everytime you make adjustments to the map (zoom, scroll or “move” the map in any way) you are generating a custom url for that exact location on the map (a url is the “address” of the site you are visiting. eg. http://www.yahoo.com ). These custom urls will allow you to be able to pinpoint a location and a perfect zoom distance on the map and bookmark it for viewing later. These urls will also work for sending to others (through email, not USPS!) so they can see what you see.
So now, if you see someone in an online forum ask, “Are there any breweries in Dallas?” Don’t tell them that they are dumb and don’t know how to use google! Instead, just send them a link like this one. Or perhaps the next time your mother asks you what the craft brewing scene in Portland Maine is like, just tell her to click this link: right here.
I should be getting this functionality spread to the city maps very soon.

You are a genius. If I could code, I would have created this website. (Who am I fooling, I am pretty lazy. I never would have pulled this off.)
Anyway, great job on the beer mapping! Can we submit new brewpubs? What format would you like new submissions in?
Keep up the great work. Thanks.
Nice site! It’s mighty handy…so handy, in fact, that I’ve change all the US brewery map links on my site (http://beerme.com) to point to beermapping.com.
Thanks for the great resource.
