The LA Area has beer!
We’ve mapped out LA and the surrounding areas in the Los Angeles Beer Map. Please check it out and update me on corrections and additional locations. This map has not really been screened by a local yet, so I expect a few errors that I’ll need to correct.
And now, since I have the floor, we’re going to discuss a few things:
1.) Support your locals. Once again, it’s Saturday and that means it’s time to find someone in your area that is doing something special, and support them. Whether it be craft beer, artisanal cheese or someone down the street making candles, give something new a shot or support your favorites in the area.
2.) Can’t find a brewery on the map? The majority of the emails that I’m receiving, are due to the fact that the user can’t find a specific brewery or location on the map. Please, for my sake, check the list on the right. If the location you are looking for is on the list to the right, then it is on the map. It still could easily be in the wrong location, or it could simply be “covered up” by another pin for a location that is within very close proximity of the location you are looking for. If this is the case, you simply need to zoom in a bit to see both.
3.) Use the magic word. I hate to be that guy. But I can guarantee that if you are emailing me to request that I map the town that you live in, you will get much farther by using the “please” word. You would think that the mothers of American were worthless from some of the demanding emails that I’ve received telling me that I need to map their town. I’m going to start forwarding your emails to your mother if you don’t straighten up!
