100 Bottles of Email on the Wall
I think I received somewhere in the range of 150 to 200 emails yesterday due to the increased traffic from the All Things Considered article and interview based on using the Google Maps API to build interesting online tools. I did my best to respond to as many as possible.
If I didn’t respond to you, here are the possible reasons:
- You didn’t enter your email address correctly. I was shocked at how many “@hotmaiel” and “@yahooo” email addresses I had to repair in order to get the address to work.
- You simply were emailing to tell me how much you enjoyed the site. I loved these and I tried to respond to as many as possible, but there were probably a few that I’ve overlooked. I may respond to some of these in the next few days.
- You submitted a large number of potential map location submissions. I am probably still working on these. If you submitted locations for a City map, then unfortunately these got pushed further back, due to the large number of responses for the US Brewery Maps.
- You sent me mail about purchasing ads on the site, or you sent me mail soliciting my help for your projects. I simply have not had time to consider these emails. Unfortunately (or fortunately?) my life is fairly busy outside of the Beer Mapping Project. I will try to address these emails soon.
If I didn’t get to your email and you think that you might not be in any of these four categories, feel free to email me again. I truly have enjoyed reading these emails and the excitement that many of you seem to show for our nations breweries and brewpubs. If you have enjoyed using this site and you have enjoyed looking at the maps, then as repayment for my efforts I encourage you to visit your local brewery or brewpub today. It’s Saturday! Get out and enjoy some freshly brewed local beer today!
